My little ig had something like that in different places and on her belly when I got her. The vet said it was a fungal infection.
He gave me some medicine and I put it on twice a day and it finaly went away. Then there was the mite problem. That was a nightmare. Those took the longest to heal, but she is doing awesome. She looks a lot like your beautiful ig. It might something else, but that is another idea of what it might be.
Hope all goes well. Keep everyone posted.

Your iguana is so perfect and beautiful looking that I see why you think those spots are a disease or something... But the spots you see are most likely just spots that are changing color or whatnot. My ig has brown patches all over him. He is healthy...

And again, your ig is amazing. The colors on his head are awesome! My ig has mostly a gray head... Yours is almost aqua blue! Truly Beautiful creature.

You have an absolutely beautiful iguana! One of the most gorgeous igs I have ever seen and very clean. The patches on the mouth and leg may be just coloration changes. I would have to actually see him to tell. It could also be burns from a basking lamp. How close is your basking lamp to his basking spot? Is he able to get against the lamp itself? If he is, it is any easy fix. It's probably just coloration, but I just wanted to give another suggestion. Very vibrant lizard!

Good luck in your endeavors,
JS

I agree that your iguana could be changing into her adult colors- how old is she? I rescued a young ig this summer who had patches on his legs like that, only white. They turned out to be scars from previous mite infections. Did you rescue your iguana? The darkened scales on the face occur on the top of my iguana's head sometimes, when he's changing color because of the temperature getting cooler. If it gets crusty or changes texture in any way, I would take her to the vet for a checkup.
