Male or Female ???

I know you can probe corn snakes to see what sex they are but since im not experienced enough I dont want to try it and hurt my snake. Is there any other way to sex it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, Brandon

Depending on how old your corn is, we may be able to help. Once you get the knack, it is pretty easy to tell by looking at the taper of a corns tail after the vent. The older the snake, the more reliable this method is. If it is a hatchling, I'd have someone experienced show you how to "pop" it or just wait until it gets a little older.

In this pic, the male tail is on top and the female on the bottom, notice how the male's tail continues to stay thick for awhile past the vent while the female's tapers quickly.

In this pic, it is reversed, the female is on top, male bottom.

Thanks, my corn is only a hatchling so it is hard to tell but the tail does taper off quickly. I guess I will have to wait and see. Thanks for the info, Brandon.
