savanah

looking at getting a savanah. ive heard a lot of things on them tho. for whoever has them, how big do their cages need to be, can they eat crickets at a grown size, are they aggresive,ive had lizards before also but none as big as a savanah. any other help is apreciated also.

Medium sized African monitor grows between 2.5-4 ft, weighs between 1-10lbs and eats insects, rodents etc in captivity and can reach 40 inches from a 6 inch baby in a years time. Dont think in terms of minimums as you wouldnt want to live in a small prison cell would ya? Id use a 4x4x8 ft or larger cage with an adult. They eat like no tomorrow and can get overweight easily when adults.
