Mandarin Red Phase male X Amel Corn female

CrossBreeder Feb 07, 2003 11:22 AM

Well my snakes are waking up here in the south and my Madarin male is getting pretty active. I've warmed up my Corns and i keep eyeing one Amel Corn I have that has a nice set of "Eyes" very much like my Madarin male. How do you think the eyes X saddles will cross if I can get them to go?

Are you really trying to cross Elaphe mandarina and Elaphe guttata? To my knowledge american rats and asian rats haven't ever been crossed. Technically they're not even in the same genus any more. Guess it can't hurt to try, though, I guess.

The North American rat snakes are now 'Pantherophis', which I think is totally lame. Almost as lame as the 'slowinskis corn snake'.
