one would have done enough homework to know the answer to this question BEFORE buying one.
In any event, your photograph didn't show up.
Its very irresponsible as a pet owner to buy any animal on the impluse, before researching and finding out as much out as possible. The fact that you don't know what type of caiman you have or crocodilian for that matter, in my opinion is foolish. You should know everything about the animal including WHAT TYPE OF ANIMAL before getting one. I hope you know that this crocodilian has the possiblily of getting 4-8 feet long, and is not by any means a "PET". And if it is a dwarf, youll have your hands full still. I also hope the laws on your side with this to. I am not speaking from experience because I have yet to get a caiman because I am still researching. I have been so for about 5 months. Next time dont jump at the first opportunity to get something at least not before researching first.
American Aligator, My biggest right now is 9 feet and 300-350 pounds. Good luck. Research before you buy.
Here is a link to try.

Those are some nice pics there. How big is the alligator in the first pic "Amon"...?
Cheers

Arnon is 5 foot, chuck is 8.5-9 feet and I have 2 others 5 foot male and a 4 foot female. I had to get rid of some of the others due to the fact I took them in as rescues and ran out of room. At one time I had one phillipine croc, 4 camien and 8 american gators. Some of my other critters are on the same website under photo album link.
