talk to me in a year or two and i might lol......seeing as how i just ordered a pair of red ones....and i already have my yellow.......although the male died last week from causes that the vet was unable to help.......but i'm going to try to breed the red ones....and also see what the result of breeding the yellow with the red will be.

hmmmmm damn me being impatient and wanting to breed them NOW! hehehe

but yeah.....ask me next year

Doug Dix has successfully bred captives. Very reputable.

I don't believe anyone has what would be considered a successful breeding program for geyri as these guys have only been imported in mass the last few years. A successful breeding program to me would be a breeding program that has reliably bred a species for many years and through multiple generations.

There have been some in the past who have hatched out this species in captivity from eggs dropped by recently imported animals. This last year saw some geyri captive breeding using long term captive animals with some success.

I don't think this species is any harder to breed than any other uromastyx. The relative lack of captive bred babies at this time is just a result of this species being relatively new to herpetoculture. I'm sure captive bred geyri availability will increase over the next few years..... especially if the current cheap importation slows or stops.
