>>I've got a Tegu that, instead of constantly running into the side of his cage, likes to jump up and hit the screen. He's getting nose rub because of it.
>>
>>
>>I don't feed him in the cage, so it's not like he's jumping because he thinks he'll get food.
>>
>>But COULD he be jumping because he realizes he gets food outside of his cage?
>>
>>Any ideas how to stop it? Will his nose heal back fine after he stops?
>>

>>I'm just wondering if there's something temporary I can do until I build a new cage for him.
I actually asked Bert about that one not too long ago, if you want to stop nose rub, block out the glass some how. (paint, paper etc) Tegus dont understand why they can see through glass but not walk through it and will spend hours trying to do so. Try taping newspaper or something around the bottom couple of inches of the outside of the glass. Then sit back and watch how wonderful it works.
