Hand Feeding

sunset714 Jan 22, 2004 12:26 AM

I was wondering what is a good age to start trying to teach a veil to hand feed? Also any tips on ways to do it?

Thanks

You can do it anytime. First, offer a favorite insect if your cham has one. Hold a cricket by the long back legs between your fingers and let the cham shoot at it. It takes a bit of practice for both of you to get the timing right, but will work. For worms I just offer it in the palm of my hand. If your cham is afraid of your hand you can start off by offering the treat while holding it on a small saucer or a shallow dish.
