Mixing morphs ect.....

UpStateNYHERPER1 Jan 22, 2004 01:46 AM

I agree that mixing different Mantellas and morphs of Darts ect.... is a danger to the pureness of the hobby and the species of frog. But I was wondering has anyone here ever raised mixed eggs or have a story on how some frogs turned out.

Why would you ask the question then, if you feel its bad for pureness of species? Someone who asks a question like that, doesnt sound concerned to me.

Am i the only one whos frustrated with these mixing questions.

No Moe your not, I think I understand why people in this hobby do not talk or help newer people as much as we should or could.

Most people just see a picture or a frog at a zoo, and say hey maybe I can get one of those. They do "0" research and then post uneducated questions. Thats not to say all of them do or that eveything is clear as can be, but I can say I had bought a book, and read many websites before I asked anyone questions. Another thing people refuse to do is take the time to search for the information they need. Almost all the basic questions can be answered by searching here or on frognet. Not to mention almost all major dart sites offer the same information. Now as in a lot of hobbies there are a 100 opinions and 100 different ways to do things, but again if you read the past posts you can get what people are thinking. I created my links page below just for that reason. A simple site for people to start reading, and gathering information.

People have a right to ask questions on this forum without worry of being chastised or criticized. They also have a right to crossbreed them or be curious as to the results of such crossbreeding, regardless of your feelings on the issue. The fact is, people are going to do what they want whether you like it or not...whether you even know about it or not. If you disagree so passionately, don't reply to the post. Leave it be!! Honestly, I was suprised at Marcial's post a couple of weeks ago. I thought he was trying to provoke and it was not very classy. However, I was even more shocked at the malice and vehemence that came out in some people's replis. Jesus people, it's not that big of a deal! Is a mixed tank worth having an anger induced stroke?? Count to 10, take a walk, smoke a cigarette, something....
