Does this group still exist?

atortis Jan 22, 2004 07:16 AM

Does anyone know? I have a redfoot tortoise, and I don't know anyone else that has reptiles. I am 22 and live in Johnstown.

I wanted to join a group, but the Pittsburgh Herpetological Society has closed down, and this group doesn't seem to be doing anything either. I can't tell anything from the TSHS website, Nuin Center says they aren't meeting there anymore - it must be out of date(?)

This is frustrating.

Does someone still do shows in Monroeville - and would anyone like to meet there? If so, email me at atortis@hotmail.com.

goodbye for now,

Beth

i, too, am looking for a herp society here in PA (though i'm off on the other side of the state)--seems they're all defunct now, though. while i've never been to it, i believe that i read somewhere that the monroeville show is no more.

the herp society shut down, but the shows are still going on, in the same place, and run by the same people.

I haven't heard anything about the TSHS in quite some time. The last i did hear, I was told they shut down, but i dont know for sure.

The Palace Inn is no more, so the show moved to the Radisson next to the expomart. The nearest herp groups are NOAH and WNYHS, both are very active but not real close. There are links to all of the
nearby shows from my WEB site.
