First Aid Help for Creamsicle

creekraider Jan 22, 2004 11:31 AM

I've been out of the tree frog hobby for about five years and recently purchased a green tree and a creamsicle from the same pet store two days ago. Both seemed to be in very good health, but on Wednesday night, I noticed that my creamsicle has a raw abrasion on the left side of it's mouth, a bruise on it's left side where its hind leg touches, and it's rear left toes are missing. I didn't examine it super close on Tuesday, and I don't remember it, but what could have happened in one day? What can I do to prevent it and treat it? Could it have been something it had before I purchased it? It's in quarantine now, but I'd really like to find a way to help it recover. Any suggestions or experience would be great. Thanks.

The symptoms you described don't point to anything specific. It could be a huge number of things. Apply triple antibiotic with a qtip until you can get it to a vet.
