forum break

Hey everybody,

We are not going anywhere as far as working with and breeding monitors goes, but we are taking a break from forums. The decision is based on several factors: time spent reading and writing here and on other forums, takes some of the fun out of reptiles, and just a need to focus on all the monitors and not reading and writing about them on the internet.

i love monitors and reptiles and just want to have fun with them.

our forum on our site will be up and I can be found there if you want to give me a hard time or post info or ask questions etc., and as it gets far fewer responses it is muchless taxing.

I am sure I will get that irresistable urge to post something every few months or so, you know like when you see a cool pic, or you want to post one. dang it

we will also be found at some shows in 2005 and posting sale ads in the classifieds from time to time.

my contact info and phone numbers are all listed on my site.

yes mike, the site is up and so is Copter, hahaha

best of luck with all of your charges.

we are very excited about the future with our monitors.

sincerely,

andrew owen

Hey Andrew. That's cool - enjoying the animals is what its all about. Just not sure why you feel the need to announce it...Oh yeah, and is it just this forum and varanus.nl? I didn't see the same announcement on FR's site. Anyway, best of luck with all the projects and be sure to stop in and post pics of successes! Billy

He did announce it on the other site. He posted it under the "Site Forum." I understand completely why he announced it. Posting in these forums allows a person to build relationships (good and bad) with other members of the forum. I talked with Andrew yesterday and Im sure that he posted it out of courtesey to those who would wonder where he went. If he had not posted it Im sure in a weeks time people would be posting "wheres Andrew."

Regards,

Michael

Hello!

I am so much relief for you to say those words! I am able to understand your plight, for much the same has happened to me over the years talking to snake men in my native Kazakhstan. There was a time when I say too much!! I could not take in the fights anymore, and told them I was to stop showing myself there. I was quite relief and happy. They were also very pleased with my decision and celebrated very loudly in the plaza where they meet. I can only hope the posting of yours will inspire a lot of other people to stop coming here and thinking about their varanus more quietly.

Cheers,

Yuri Voorhak
