i just recieved my baby veiled and when i opened the package the chameleon looked very stressed. i went to coax it onto my hang to place it in its cage and it hissed at me. I finally set it in the cage and now it is not moving from the spot i put him in. whats going on?

He' s scared s$@%less. Wouldn't you be scared if you got thrown into a dark box for several hours and then a strange giant scooped you up and put you in a strange place? Give him a little while and he'll calm down and get acclimated. Offer him some food and water. And make sure he has plenty of foliage to hide in. Make him feel safe.

It sounds like he just got terrified and freaked out a little.
I've seen them bite themselves before when scared. Handle him very gently, often, and he will learn to not be so afraid. Best of luck.
