I am sick of my pacman frog flipping himself onto his back!He does it constantly. And its not that his cage is unlevel or anything he will just flip himself on his back while he is just sitting there.Almost every day I come home from school to find my pacman on his back.I dont know what else I can do.
any suggestions?

thanks.

Slope the substrate. If it is sloped then he probably will just flip and roll back over. Andy

That would be hard because I am using shelfliner.I used to use moss and the amount of fruit flies it attracted was unacceptable. They irritated my frogs eyes and overall made him sick. Now that I use shelfliner he is much healthier. Is there any way I could slope the liner?

Um...why not just switch him to bed a beast? It is the best overall substrate unless for very young or sick frogs.

hmm doesn't bed a beast attract fruit flies too?If I did buy how many packs would i need for a 10 gallon tank?

Switch substrate as he'll want to burrow a bit anyway & can't do that on shelf liner. Bed a Beast is great & one brick will get you at least 2 10 gallon set ups. I buy it in those 3 brick packs & have used the same pack for about 6 months before running out. I wonder if he's not doing this because of stress...

Also, I've never had a problem w/ flies w/ coconut fiber (I use Ecoearth).

I also concurr! Put your poor froggie in some thing he can burry himself in. He will/might be really stressed out since he is forced to be out in the open. My frogs stay burried 24/7 unless they are eating or I poke them out.

whatever you want to call them. They are attracted by the mold, damp, and the heat. If you let the tank dry out a little, then your problem disappears. They don't hurt anything...The bedding should be changed once a month or so anyway. Andy
