We separate our males and females for a few months each year. This gives the females a break from the ever-perstering males and allows for them to regain any lost weight from breeding more easily. We find are males are more interested during the breeding season when they are without the females for a few months.

Are you trying to breed the dragons or not? That's the real question. If you have enough knowledge about breeding, incubating, raising babies, and the costs involved with this, then I'd say follow jmarchon's advice, and keep them separated several months a year. Or you can do what I believe most breeders do, and leave the beardies alone until you want them to breed, only introducing them for shorter periods of time. That will reduce the stress even more. When breeding, the female should be at least 18 months old, 100% healthy and nice and heavy. Of course, you know this if breeding is your goal.

If you don't want to breed the beardies, and/or the female is under 18 months old, please separate them ASAP.
