WTF size differences a problem?

samster Jan 22, 2004 03:05 PM

Hello again. My WTF Bendito that I rescued from a research lab last month is doing great. All of his sores are healed except he still has something that looks like bruises on his butt where it touches the paper towels. Do you think this is just due to being only on paper towels? or still an infection? Other than that, he is great..sings, eats, poops all the time. My other question is that he is about 3-4 inches long, and my female Whites is 4-5 inches long. She is a vigorous eater and tries at anything that moves. Do you think he will be all right to put with her once he is completely better? Or will she be able to hurt him? They will be in a 20 gallon high aquarium until I can buy a larger one (hopefully soon) with lots to climb on and places to hide. Has anyone successfully expanded a 20 gal to a 30 gallon? Sorry for all the questions. Take care.

if he has been healing and eating, then i wouldn't worry about his vent area. just keep the temps high, and humidty normal(50%) and he should heal by himself.

as for expanding a 20gal to a 30 gal, i dunno. but as you said, it is better to get a larger enclosure.

i think it should be ok to house your male with your female, just make sure the male is not small enough to fit in her mouth.
