Hi Justin,
What age is your Red Tegu? Have the temperatures in your house or wherever you keep him gone down? I've got an adult alomost 3 years old that hasn't eaten for at least three months now. Him and his girlfriends are in a semi hibernation state. But he's down and out. I've not seen him for a while. Just a couple things to think about...

he said 5-6 months but he looks younger hes really small. i keep their room at 80 and the basking spot is 105. i guess he could be trying to hibernate, but i dont want him to die from not eating (if hes not trying to hibernate). i wouldnt be so worried if he was a little older and had a fat tail like my b&w. nice reds too, how olds junior? thanks, justin

the guy i bought him from also said he was eating all the food his cage and he had to seperate him from his other tegu. he wasnt hibernating either

Justin,
I wouldnt worry, when i first got my tegu, he wouldnt eat for the first week, now he is a eating machine at least 2X a day.

Hi Justin,
I had a thought... You might try ground turkey. He's small enough, you can put some on your finger and he will take it. Kind of be careful, it won't be a tragety if he gets a little piece of you. Might even be heathly for him...
