dividing a large cage. Questions.

rudedogsurfrat Jan 22, 2004 05:20 PM

I have a large custom made cage about 50x25x18". I want to keep my 2 womas in there separate. What would I use to split it in 2?

Do you want this divider to be permanent, semi-permanent, or easily removed/replaced?

Is the cage top opening or front opening? What sort of lid or door does it have?

What is the cage made of?

Do you have any scrap material of any sort lying around?

Sorry for all the questions. It will be easier to help if I know.

It is a plywood cage. The inside is lined with some sort of wall covering vinyl or something. I want it to be removeable because when the woma's breed I need them together. It opens from the top. There are hinges and latches and screen on top.

This looks like it could be a bit tricky. I think you'll need to put some 1x2's or something into the cage so that they are even with or stick out slightly further than the lip around the top of the cage.

You could then attach some plastic glass track, or smaller pieces of wood to these 1x2's for a piece of acrlyic or hardboard to slide into.

This is probably a horrible description. Does it make any sense?

yeah that makes sense. Let me see what the hardware store has to offer.
