Hi all,
I have two leopard geckos...I've had them for about 2 years now. They're great!!! I have some bird mite spray, and was wondering if it would be too harsh for use on my geckoes. Thanks,

The question is, do they actually have mites? Yet to hear of one that does. It probably wouldn't be safe, a friend of mine was talking to me about it, and he can barely use some on his mite killer on bigger reptiles without them becoming very ill.

Why use mite spray on leos???? Mites do not generally go on lizards especialy geckos..... The mites have nowhere to hide.... On snakes they can go under scales but leos do not have overlaping scales.....

Here's the deal. I see little brown spots on one of my leopards.
You're right, no scales, so why would they have mites. ???? But I was still concerned. It doesn't seem to cause her any dicomfort.

Some poor guy used that stuff on a snake a while back and as far as I can tell from what he said it killed his snake. I honestly wouldn't use the stuff on my bird. There are much safer proven reptile mite sprays. Have you seen the mites?
