Gargoyle Gecko Picture-Credit Given-Apology

pgross8245 Jan 22, 2004 06:44 PM

Recently I purchased a Gargoyle Gecko for my daughter from Geckos Unlimited. On January 2, 2004, I posted a picture of this gecko on this forum titled "My New Gargoyle Gecko". The photo is now on page 2 in this forum. I used the picture of the gecko from the Geckos Unlimited website and did not see any harm in doing so, as it was a picture of the gecko I purchased. Today, I received an e-mail from Geckos Unlimited which stated in part "If you want to use photos on my website, please ask me. You need to give me credit for it." I am doing just that now. The photo in question was the courtesy of Geckos Unlimited, Nathan Hall from Houston, Texas. I apologize for the faux pas and will never use anyone's photos without asking them first.

Pam,

I usually don't have a problem with folks using photos from the site as long as they ask and give me credit. An apology on this forum wasn't necessary, but I do appreciate the sincerity.

I didn't care that the photo was posted on this forum. I decided to email you when I saw it on another site. I do hope that you understand my concern.
