madrebelkellen Jan 22, 2004 08:55 PM

I have a red tail boa, it has just stopped eating in the last 3 weeks. I dont think it can open its mouth, it hasnt flickered its tounge in a long time. It breathes very hard every once in a while, and trys to open its mouth, or so it seems. Does anyone know what this is? Please Help me out!

Probably a case of mouthrot (stomatitis); a vet should be seen ASAP.

Difficulty breathing also indicates an upper respiratory infection. Again, a vet should be seen.
