I came across an eel food source I can buy live here at stores and feed to my female bullfrog. I've done this twice now and just want to ask any knowledgeable people here, particularly 'Clawedfrogs', what eels nutrition-wise might offer to frogs and if they're safe or not? Moreover, these eels are "extremely" strong, like a pythons' in comparison to size and in terms of toughness and unbending strength, which I wonder if could injure the inner organs of my frog in any way. I also want to feed her mice, but I'm wondering if these are safe as well.
This just shows that I'm concerned about live foods effecting the frogs' stomach and all. How can frogs handle such immense and seemingly rough prey, i.e., claws, teeth, fangs and all of some creatures, and does this ever injure them? I'm not talking about choking this time. I'm talking about hurting their stomachs or organs.
