Timber Rattler Housing.

Can anyone give me some tips on creating a healthy enviroment for a timber?
I have him in a 5 foot long 2 foot deep and 2 foot wide cage atm, but i want to upgrade. Maybe buy one even.... or build a new one who knows... any suggestions would be appreciated.
