i understand that underbelly heating is necessary for leos but i have a sterilite rack system with heat pads-the kind u get at the store for muscle aches-adhered to the back of the box, thus it creates a kind of heated back wall and some heat travels to the substrate (paper towels) also they bask w/ their underbelly along the back edge of the cage either on a rock or the paper towels. that said i got a temp gun reading of about 85 at night and 88 during the day when pointed at the rear floor of the tank and a reading of about 100 when pointed at the back wall...does this sound ok? or does the heat actually have to be coming from underneath?
thanks
