Humidity? X-10?

kyle1745 Jan 23, 2004 09:25 AM

Has anyone found a cheap way to monitor humidity through a x10 type system? On your PC? I would like to track it, and maybe set off misters based on what it is.

Get the data collection units which you plug onto your computer, through USB ports. Try searching the net for DCU's, although they are not going to be cheap. Seems like too much of a hassle for monitoring humidity to me though.

Good luck,

Ya that why I am asking. Seems there has to be a way, the sensors are not that much, if you just buy the sensors. Would be very cool to pull up a chart on your PC with current stats on all your tanks. It is possible with temp for not much, but humidty I can not find a lot of information on.

If you find a way to do it, keep us informed. Personally, I am still trying to understand how to do it for temperature. I know it can be done, but I the kind of person that needs a step by step explanation and I have not found it yet.

I will do that, I did have a site I had found before with a lot of good info, but I think I lost it when I rebuilt my PC. I am still looking for it.
