Here is a link to the lights of america worklight. These guys are the only people I have found that carry them. Home depot and all of the others around my house are only carrying the halogen worklights. Anyway, I think that taking the legs off and the front lens off, they might fit nicely over a 15H, I have ordered 2 of them and plan on sending my compact kit back to AH...never used it. Anyway, check out the output of those lights. They are beasts. Also, the screw in compact that you have been considering buying at lite-house.com is not the brightest they have. They also have a 42 watt that puts out like 2,800 lumens...pretty good

I have been thinking about doing that. I'm in no rush, there is enough light on tank to keep the plants growing, just not enough for the bright red. I might order 2x27watt ones to try them, but have not yet.

do you know how many k the output is? if it is a work light it may have more of a yellow tint to it. I have a 40 watt lights of america screw in compact bulb that puts out around 2,000 lumens but the light is pretty yellow.

It is 6500K and 4,550 lumen per bulb....That is more than a 55watt bubs from ah supply. Plus, you get the ballast with the bulbs for 30 bucks....Not bad

WOW not bad at all and it must have a pretty kickin reflector which will make it seem even brighter!
