Could someone post a pic of their tank with a list of some of the plants in it?

I only know 3 ways to do things.
The right way.
The wrong way.
And my way which is the wrong way only faster.

Ryan: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Mick: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?!

Ryan:Help me someone i have a mortal wound!
[Kyle runs over]Kyle:Where does it hurt?
Ryan:Oh i would have to say.....IT HURTS IN THAT BIG BLOODY HOLE STUPID!!!

A good source for that stuff is wildsky.net, they're on Kyle's links page. My setup is on wildsky (Oct 14 2003)with a pretty complete plant list, if you have any questions about the plants just post or email me.

Here's a pic of my big setup. The big brom on the left is Vriesia 'Tiffany', the netted green plant in the back behind that is Fittonia 'Royal Lace' (or something like that-Lowe's). In the lower right is a Lemon Button Fern (Nephrolepsis cordata 'duffi'--also from Lowe's), and just in front of that is Selaginella plana; to the left of that is a little bromeliad called Neoregelia liliputiana from Custom Ecos (www.customecos.com). Behind that is a large Nepenthes 'Judith Finn' (pitcher plant) from Lowe's. In front of the Nepenthes is a little red plant . . . that's a jewel orchid (Ludisia discolor)--$5 from Custom Ecos.

In the back center are some of my other bromeliads: Neoregelia fireball, a Neoregelia liliputiana x fireball, and a Neoregelia ampullacea. Crawling up the back wall is ficus pumila from Lowe's. Oh, and I also have a dendrobium orchid on the far right in the middle (it's pretty big). There are some air plants on the branch on the left (Tillandsia ionatha and another one I can't remember the name of currently . . . freebies from Custom Ecos).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. All of these have done extremely well for me, and I didn't pay more than $6 for any plant in there.

Here are the tanks humble beginnings. This is good to remember when you are first starting out, as it sounds like you might be. This thing will grow in FAST . . . and this is a roughly 50 gallon tank at 24" x 24" x 24".

I like your setup. I saw it a while back, and was wondering whether your flowering plant in the center is an african violet or some sort of cyclamen?

Also, how are your orchids fairing? Are those Dendrobiums, and have you had any blooms?

Thanks,

I think I spelled that correctly. you know what I mean though! Yes, that orchid in the front middle on the stick has bloomed once, but it was a little tiny uncolored flower about a half inch apart. The other orchid in the back right is putting out a flower runner (if it can be called that) now. I dont know how long these take to bloom, but I'll post a pic when and if it does. That big whispy fern in the middle came from Lowes. I dont know what it is.

Thanks for your compliments!

Here's my 72 gallon Paludarium. The moss on the wood surrounding the water is Java Moss, the bonzai is a ficus tree, there are earth starrs inserted into the cork bark background, a couple of ferns and a couple of bromeliads.

The water contains Java Moss, Java Fern and Amazon Sword.

What is the tree on the land section, it looks kinda like a weird mangrove. I have been thinking of using a few mangroves in my next big frog tank. If I prune them like bonzais then they should be both functional and attractive.
