I posted a message about my gecko and that i put him into a 10gal tank from his 20gal as a sort of quarentine. He's lost alot of weight in the last week or so. I thought things were looking better as he ate 2 crickets last night and actually ran after them. But this morning he looked worse although he still ran around to hide when i stuck my hand in. Since i've put him in the 10gal i haven't seen him drink at all. I sprayed the sides and let water fall into the bowl but he wouldn't go to it. I didn't put *HIS* cave or water dish in with him. So today i cleaned them both out and put them in. Right now he's in *his* cave (the type that sit up against the glass) and he did perk up when i put in his water dish but i haven't seen him drink yet. I have Repta Aid and gave him some of that...not easy! Hopefully he'll start to drink again. Typically he won't come out of his cave until all of the lights are out and the room is quiet so i've done that in the hopes that he'll come out soon. Could the tank change have caused him to get worse due to stress? I also saw him do something strange. I thought he was shedding cause he was pulling something off of himself. When i got closer i saw that he was *helping* himself have a poop. He then had another movement without helping himself.... The first one looks normal but the second was more liquidy with some solid stuff. Once he was done he walked around a bit, basked under the light on top of his cave for a while and then went inside. Does this sound like impaction?
