need tinc tank advice

mbmcewen Jan 23, 2004 08:41 PM

I am beginning work on a tank for two cobalt tincs....20L. These will be my first tincs, and I really don't know what the best set-up would be. I know they are mostly terrestrial so a 20L would be better than a 20H, but what else? Do they need a lot of ground cover and hiding places like auratus? What do they like?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Let me amend that. I will probably go with a 29 for the added height. Same floor dimensions though.

I use a 29 Gallon it easily fits 3 Adult Tincs. I think the tincs are more "arborial" (I don't Think 18 inches high is considered arborial but...) than you think. My tincs climb all the strucures in the tank in fact they prefer to eat from atop a stump in the tank easier to get the flies than in the litter. Also 2 of them have high sleeping spots. They are not arboial but they do love to climb.
