dragon acting funny

maneatingorchid Jan 23, 2004 09:38 PM

My mountain horned dragon, Cthulhu, has recently taken her last dose of panacur to get of her parasites. The medication has had enough time to get through her system. I just added a new dragon to the habitat today and she's been acting a little strange. She's been keeping her eyes shut quite a lot, and when I put her in her pool, she floated for a while and then pretended to be dead for a few minutes. Then I held her upside down and she went nuts again, just like usual. So, what's the deal? Do they tend to play dead for any reason? The second dragon has been given meds, too.

I've read a few posts on this board where people said their dragons play dead. Usually they have the impression that the dragon is trying to say "hey buddy, leave me alone for a while."

Igor has other ways of saying that. I'm sure they do it one way or another. We all know how these guys like their privacy.

I was real relieved to read the last line where you stated the other dragon has been medicated too! Whew!!

Anyway, could be that she is trying to hide from the new dragon who has invaded her territory. If this is the case she will get over it once she adjusts to having a companion. I would worry too much yet.
