Guys and girls, need your help again.
First of all, bedding and covering for the floor of the box. I did a search of the threads and found this bit of info
" I use newspaper, but I have large plastic tubs in the cages that have about 3 inches of cypress mulch in them for the snakes to hang out in. They seem to enjoy that and so far, I haven't had a problem with them defecating in the mulch...they seem to come out of there and use the newspaper on the floor of the cage (or their water dish). Both sides of my cages have newspaper on the floor."
QUESTION: What is cypress mulch?
AT the moment I have the floor covered in green astro turf (or fake grass whatever you want to call it) then this is covered with kitty litter that is like hard paper rocks, sort of like paper gravel - good or bad? Should I juts go back to newspaperpaper? with or without the fake grass?
I saw a guys box and he was using reptile sand but I heard this is not good.
BOX QUESTIONS.
More or less big rocks? what's better? Real or fake plants if any? Lots of branches?
HEATING.
It's pretty hot here this summer so during the day I have no light on in the box this means there is no light other than natural light which is not much because the box is inside. Temperature sits around 28 -30 deg C - Good? What about the nights, i'm using a red light to keep temperature up.
Should I get an undermat heater with a thermostat? Are thet any good? What brand do you recomend.
