Question on shedding

chamoti4 Jan 24, 2004 08:15 AM

My leo has some kind of what looks like skin build-up in the botton side of her tail. I know this is a sensitive part, is there something I could do to help get it off. I was thinking of soaking her in some warm shallow water to help soften the skin. And use a q-tip to get it off. What do you guys think? I don't want her to loss her tail.

Thanks

I once read in a reptile book that you can moisturize the tail
with vaseline. It loosens the dead skin. One of my geckoes
often has dead skin from shedding on his toes. I have been doing the vaseline thing,
and it's working.
