LIGHT PROBLEM, PLEASE HELP!!!

ok heres the problem
ive set up the cage, as shown...
and i ran out of room for my uvb light..can i place the light on top of the cage next to the ventilation, or the uvb will be filtered through the glass??
can i use calcium suplements with vit.d3 instead of uvb lights?
what should i do, please help!

I've read the UVB will not filter thru glass. I'd also highly suggest that you remove the light that's inside the cage. (maybe it's not but it looks like it from the pic). That could very easily cause burns on the chameleon.

What type of Cham do you have in that tank? Because if its anything but a Pygmy or some type like that, you shoudnt house it in a glass cage. you need to get an all screen cage. (or at least a 3 sided screen cage). and yes UVB does get filtered through glass. (well most of it if not all). I would suggest for you to get an all screen Cage. Also i wouldnt put any light bulbs inside the cage. It could cause burns OR even break somehow and hurt your Cham.
