Leopard Frog Eggs

chalinmak Jan 24, 2004 02:08 PM

I have two leopard frogs and one croaks every night (this might be irrelavant(spelling?)). Well, about two days ago, about ten brownish colored sacks showed up in my water section of the cage (half water, half land). I don't know what they are and thought they might possibly be eggs. I have done a search and cannot find out what they are. Are they eggs?

Thank in advance,
chalinmak

Eggs usually have a dark (or light, in some cases) ball in the centre. It might have been unfertilized eggs, if there were no dots. Or maybe just some shed skin?
I'd keep it in a cup for a few days. If it begins to grow moldy, it could be unfertilized eggs or unused male reproductive fluid.
