i bought a lizard 2day that the pet shop owner labled as a sudan plated lizard, its a really nice pet store too, after looking at it i do not think its a plated lizard though. its about 8 inches long (half of that is its tail) and is colored brownish with two yellow stripes going down its back. it's underside is white with black spots on the white that is on its side. also it is not plated. any ideas? if it is not a plated lizard, how do i take care of it?

That description fits many skinks -and some plateds. But most plateds have a whitish belly. A Pic would help
