Did you ever get those bulbs you were talking about? I followed divegods advice and got a 65 watt lights of america fluorescent security light for my imitator tank and it is great after 3 days the broms are all ready getting redder. The box says it's total brightness lumens are 8905 and its total photopic lumens are 4550. It is really easy to set up, get a medium duty extension cord and a grounding box and you have a really bright light for about 42 bucks. Plus it comes with a 6500 k bulb, and there is no hum because they have an electronic ballast. I like them so much I am probaly going to get two and put them on a brom raising tank.
