Adult Beardie Won't Eat Greens!

lemonsherbet Jan 24, 2004 05:11 PM

My bearded dragon is just over a year old. He has a hearty appetite ... but only for crickets. While I have gotten him to eat a few pieces of carrot or squash, he won't touch any other greens, even if he's really hungry.

He's been like this since he was a baby, but I'm sure he's just spoiled on crickets. Do you have any suggestions for getting him to try a more "rounded" diet?

Thanks!

Take a whole leaf of whtever you want to feed them and rub it on there face and sort of "shove" it around there mouth and they'll get mad and bite it and maybe like it.

mix in some pellets that have soaked in water or fruit juice.

He will go for them and probably eat some salad and find out he likes it.
