Hey Ive got a 40 gal. long tanks thats empty and I need to fill it. Ive decided to get a lizard but I need somthing thats not dumb as a brick can anyone tell me the lizard that has the brodest personality that I could get??? I could move it into a bigger tank in a year if need be and I can only spend about $200 on the actual lizard thanks!

Well, im sure youve heard of bearded dragons. they actually get to know you and recognize when your around. the normal morphs are cheap, sixty bucks for a juvy(60-100, pending on where you go) but you can also get neat color morphs for like 120-200. they are abundant, so there is no lacking of them. theres also chinese waters, and leos, but leos are nocturnal and they cant be held to often due to stress. good luck

An adult beardie and especially an adult Chinese water dragon are too big for a 40 gallon as adults. Nocturnal lizards can be handled a lot depending on how flexible your hours are... say, if, hypothetically, you're up until 3 am watching cartoons anyway.
