Is your house warm? Higher temp (80's ) will encourage activity. Best method I know is to turn lights off tonight and wait about an hour. Then take a flashlight and search your house. Hopefully there are no holes or other easy accesses to the outside. If he is prowling you stand a chance of spotting him on the move. another optionis to check allcabinets and drawers, shoes or anyplace that is a hide out. good luck.

CAREFULLY check behind the fridge, I've seen snakes curl up in the tray underneath the compressor motor underneath the back at the bottom) its dark, secluded, and warm. Just make sure you dont' crush him moving the fridge if he's back there

congatulations, most people don't get that lucky. now you get to try to figure out HOW he got out so you can keep it from happening again.
Good luck :]
