Questiong about Temperature Sexing

All4Sky Jan 24, 2004 06:41 PM

Hello everyone, new to the forum. I was wondering if it is true that you only have to temperature sex for the first two weeks of incubation? For instance, if I temp sexed for a male at about 88 degrees for the first two weeks, and another one of my female geckos had laid another clutch, would it be safe to drop the temperature to female range at about 82 degrees? Or is it safe just to stay at the same temp throughout the incubation period? Thanks.

I think it would be better to just keep it a constant temperature (with the fluxuations that might occur). If you want males and females, I'd say keep the temperature at 85*F to get a mixed ratio. Or get two incubators.
