24 hour lighting

kyle1414 Jan 24, 2004 08:15 PM

i read this once and it made a lot of sense. for lizards that burrow(like savanah monitors and plated lizards) why dont you just leave your light on 24 hours a day, becuase they likely have their own clocks anyway. what do you all think?

How are you currently heating? Do you soley depend on lights for heating? I try to do a day/night cycle when possible. I thing leaving the light on can lead to heat stress and just stress in general. Also, lights can be a little inefficient and by using a day/night cycle, you can cut down on the electric bill.

Just my 2 cents.
