Waters are BREEDING!!!!

G8TOR Jan 24, 2004 08:33 PM

My waters are breeding! Last week they were in their water and copulating we observed this for over a hour. This behavior had been observed for the following 3 days. Now the male seems to have lost total interest in the female. I was just wondering if it is even possible for the breeding to be successful? Both are at or a little above the 4 foot mark, and a little over one year of age. Prior to this past week the male was observed basking, eating, and sleeping with her, they have been housed together only since October and he has tried a couple of times but she was not receptive. Now last week was different because she was submissive and even lifted her tail for him until he took the hint and began to copulate. I guess my question is; are they to young or just to small yet to actually breed successfully?

Thank you
TB
