I've seen a couple of 7-footers. I would say the 8 feet isn't entirely out of the question. It's not the biggest Drymarchon, but there are no small Drymarchon as colubrids go. Yellowtails can reach 10 feet.

i did see a wc male at a show in 98 that was well in excess of 8' and w/ great mass. the thing was a complete pussycat and the guy only wanted $60
for him!.....i was actually pretty surprised i didn't leave w/ him......but i had too many as it was at the time. same as now ......lol!
