Two questions....

ginevive Jan 25, 2004 07:57 AM

One: If a humidity hide is used, is it necessary to keep the entire cage humid?

Two: Is the frequency of shedding always linked to food consumption? Actually, if a snake is "off his feed" for a few months, will shedding be delayed until feeding resumes and the snake gets wider?

Thanks for your help!

One, no. I have a humid hide and I don't mist etc. I do cover the top...but they are in 50gal breeder tanks and it helps.

Two, not in my experience. I have had snakes shed at the end of a fast and THEN kick into eating. I think other things come into play besides size and growth.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with the software.
