definately you want to let him be for the first few days... but after that it depends on when the last time he ate was...once a week is pretty standard although I am considering twice a week with my ball...do you know his feeding history(what, when, live or frozen thawed?)for example if he ate on thursday.. you typically would want to wait about a week before feeding again (assuming he is a juvenile).
in time you will learn your BP's particular eating habits.hope this helps... good luck and congrats on the new pet!
