I can't answer about the agression thing. Maybe you smell like food? Or the way you approach it startles or scare it.
But with the defrosting. Just put the mouse in a plastic baggie, and put the baggie in hot water for about 5 min (depending on the size of the mouse, if it is a pink it will only take about 1-2 min, but if it is an adult mouse it could take 5-10 min for it to throughly defrost and be warm.

Mine does that... Just sort of a quirk. Mine will sometimes hiss and flatten and strike when I just look at him. But once we pick him up.... la la la, I'm a hognose. Whoo, I'm in the air. This is fun. la la la. The dog doesn't even scare him when he's out of the cage. Being picked up just triggers their defensive instinct, I guess.
Go ahead and pick it up, even if it's hissing it won't bite you. Trust me

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."
