Will the "theme" of this year's NARBC LA Show be theft?
Similar to the NARBC Chicago '03 show where several reptiles were stolen from vendors. Any security personnel this time?
Can't wait to get my picture taken with the Alligator and then get my face painted and get some balloons and cotton candy and ask vendors if I can hold a snake and . . .

Just for the record we had a valuable animal stolen at the show during the day. There are security guards and cameras there at night. It was one of those things that can happen and did, a big learning experience to say the least! I have had many thefts at many shows over the years and have to learn to anticipate scenerios that may result in the loss of my animals. It was not the fault of the show hosters. I bring very valuable animals to show at this show and have faith that they are safe. I like this show and was very impressed with their vender buffet!

Hey Nick,
I don't know what security could have done about the thefts. I had a Pastel stolen from my table during show hours while I was standing there talking to another customer. After this show I bought displays that have good locks on them. Security keeps everything safe at night while no one is there. I didn't hear about any thefts that happened after show hours. It is unfortunate that there are theives in the world, but I don't think there will evere be enough security to keep thefts from happening during show hours. It is up to us to watch our own stuff. I think my theft was completely my fault for not watching better or having more secure displays. The NARBC show is one of the best shows in the country, I will be there again, with locks this time.
