substrate?

i am using forest earth right now but i hate it it sticks to everything is there any other substrate and when building a custom cage what do you use as a bottom cause wouldn't would spoil.

i used a few pieces of lenoleum? dont know how to spell it..ha and i use A non-toxic caulk for a seal and then substrate over the top.. i have a redfoot so he needs the moisture to be contained. what kind of tortoise do you own? or use a thick paint drop tarp thing and just staple it.. hopw this helps
