I got this AFT gecko from Rob Jenkins back in Ocotber. She was a pretty good looking gecko back then, but since then her color has changed dramatically to an amazing looking gecko.

This is a picture of her a few days after I received her.

Here's a picture I took about 2 weeks ago.

And here's a picture I took of her last night. I couldn't beleive my eyes when I opened her enclosure and saw her!

that is really amazing- is that normal for AFTs? she practically looks (to my untrained eye) like an amel to me now.

I've only been keeping AFTs for a couple months and I noticed that the amels get better with age, but I didn't realize the normals do that too. I keep her in the same enclosure with one of my amels and when I saw her last night I thought is was my amel.

she looks amel maybe she hatched out looking normal and stayed that way and then turned out to amel it could happen is she supposed to be het for amel. its a possibility kinda like some of the darker albinos are Identical to normals almost.

breed her to a amel check the results

She is het for amel and I plan on breeding her to this male. She definately isn't amel though, if you saw her in person you could tell.
