Few problems. No fish. Get rid of them. They foul the water and aren't good nutritionally for the frog. Get rid of the rocks. You can leave some big rocks in the water side, but on the dry land side you need something like bed a beast that the frog can burrow in. 10 gallon is ok, 20 gallon is better. Temps should be about 80-85. Feed crickets and nightcrawlers as a staple and mealworms, wax worms, pretty much any other invert you can get that is pesticide free can be added for variety. you can check out my site the reptizone listed below for a caresheet.

Hey fireindc or is it Fire In Dc, thats how I remember your name.lol.

First of all it's pacman, not packman, but I believe that was a typo and I'm sorry for bringing it up. Pacmans, which I have previous experiences with, grow to be about 8", males are usually smaller than females, slightly aggressive and can bite with the two small tooth located right above the front part of their jaw, which is used to contain the prey item, shouldn't be kept with anything thats smaller, can drown in deep water, 78-84F is great, higher humidity or else they'll spend time in the water dish instead, UTHs are better used as they dont dry the frog as lights do. The last person that posted said don't feed them fish, but you should. It gives it different varieties of vitamins even if it doesn't obtain much nutrients from it. Large pacman can eat mice. Gut load the insects. I've also read some can live 7-10 years, I only had mines for 3. 2 or so inches of soil is great as they are terrestrial, a small dish of water, and some plants is great. 10 gallon is good enough, 20 is better like the other guy said but is not neccessary as they aren't active to require that much space. Good luck.

Nutrients don't matter if your food items kill the frog. Feeder fish are loaded with parasites and are high in fat, which lead to premature death due to lipid build up. Same with mice. And I would love to see an 8" long pacman frog. 6.5-7 is already extremely huge. An 8 inch would definitely be close to a record for most species (excluding aurita which IS NOT available to the hobbyist). Please read up on lipid build up found in Bartlett's literature as well as posted all over the board. A lot of research has been done over the effects of feeding fish and mice, and they have proven to be long term health risks. Andy

Mice are never a good food item for Cranwell's Horned Frogs. They are very high in fat. I fed my first horned frog on mice, years ago when I did not know better. He ended up getting the inevitible lipid buildup on the eyes and was blind and dead within months. It is a very sad thing to watch, and I would discourage anyone from feeding mice or pinky mice to these frogs because of this!

do NOT give your pacman fish they carry so many parasites and can kill the animal. Also dont use rocks use bed a beask with some larger rocks and night crawlers and crickets are good food but have a variety for it.
